Format for Guilford County Commissioner online video debate
- Each candidate provided 9 questions for consideration.
- Each candidate was provided the "veto" ability over 5 of their opponents
questions.
- This gave us our 8 questions.
- We did 4 separate recording sessions, 2 with each of the candidates.
- The candidates were never in the same place at the same time.
- The answers were recorded using a webcam that was taped to the top of a PC.
- At the first recording sessions each candidate was required to keep their answers to around a minute.
- Each candidate was allowed as many "takes" as they wished to present the answer they wished.
- Neither candidate saw the the others answers to the questions until all answers had been recorded.
- We then exchanged answers between candidates and gave appropriate time to prepare responses.
- We then did a second set of recording sessions were we provided the candidates the ability to respond to their
opponents answers or extend upon their previous answers.
- It was in these second recording sessions that we recorded the opening and closing
statements.
- We then posted the entire production to the internet unedited.
